Stainless Steel Restaurant Counter Repair in Laguna Beach, CA

Rivera’s Mobile Welding Services repaired a worn and damaged section of an older restaurant counter in Laguna Beach, CA. The lower portion had deteriorated over time and needed to be rebuilt.

The damaged section was opened up and removed so the area underneath could be cleaned out and prepared for the repair. New stainless steel panels were then fabricated for three sides of the section and welded into place.

The rest of the counter was still usable, so there was no reason to replace the entire unit. The repair focused on the damaged section while keeping the existing counter and equipment in place.

What was wrong with the counter?

The lower section had deteriorated from years of use and needed to be rebuilt. Once the damaged material was removed, the inside of the counter was exposed, including old insulation and debris that had collected underneath.

The condition of the area meant that simply covering the damage would not have been enough. The worn material had to be removed before the new panels could be fitted.

How was the damaged section repaired?

The damaged material was removed and replaced with newly fabricated stainless steel panels. The panels were fitted along three sides of the section and welded into the existing counter.

This allowed the repair to stay focused on the area that needed work instead of replacing the entire counter.
