Custom Glass Entry Door Fabrication in Costa Mesa, CA

 

For a new restaurant in Costa Mesa, Rivera's Mobile Welding Services fabricated and welded a large metal frame for the front glass entry door.

The size of the entrance called for something made specifically for the opening rather than a standard door frame. We built the frame around the glass panels, including the main door and the surrounding sections.

Building the Door Frame

The frame was cut and fitted piece by piece before being welded together. The design has large glass openings, with narrow metal sections around them. This keeps the entrance open and lets the glass remain the main feature of the door.

The finished frame was given a black finish that works with the rest of the restaurant's exterior.

Why was a custom frame needed?

A large commercial entry like this doesn't always work with an off-the-shelf door. The dimensions, glass layout, and look of the building all have to be considered before the frame is built.

Fabricating the frame from scratch allowed us to build it around the actual opening instead of trying to make a standard-size door work.
